The Bee's Knees

I do realise that all I talk about these days is how soon it is until I go (15 days by the way) and for that I do apologise. The latest news is that I handed in my notice at work just over a week ago. By handing in my notice I mean shyly telling the bosswoman that I would be leaving. My last day at Unicom will be 1st April. It went a lot better than I expected. I don't know why, but I expected them to be really mad at me for leaving.

I did have a pretty traumatic experience last week. I was stabbed twice in the arm. Yes I did give her permission and yes, I did pay for the pleasure. Oh, and by stabbed I mean I got my travel injections. And yes, I had to get my mother come with me to hold my hand. How I am going to survive in a foreign land without her, I do not know. As long as I don't need any injections I'll be fine. At least now I don't have to worry about getting typhoid or hepatitis A, which I guess makes it worth it. The nurse kindly offered me a 3 week course to immunise me against rabies, but at 50 quid a pop I kindly declined. To quote Sarah, I just won't touch any strange animals.

I may only have 15 days left but departure day is coming around way too fast. And I still have a lot to sort. It's mostly little stuff but enough the stress me out. But it's all going to be worth it. Our travel plans are forever changing and I'm still waiting on my chinese visa! The next week is going to be devoted to packing. And my final complaint is that I have a dodgy knee. I can walk fine but anything that requires to bend my knee to much really hurts, which is not the best thing when traveling.

Anyway, I have two weeks to bring it all together for one big adventure.

Subject: Soon

Staying motivated at work, knowing that I will be gone in just over a month, is pretty hard.
Looking out at the frost on the grass this morning, it brought a smile to my face when I received this e-mail from my travel companion.
